Archtober

Archtober is New York City’s Architecture and Design Month, the annual festival of architecture activities, programs, and exhibitions taking place during the month of October.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, many of our partners are hosting programs digitally, allowing visitors from across the globe to participate in our exploration of architecture and design—in New York City and beyond.

2021 Festival:

  • Events – Experience architecture and design in New York City and beyond! Easily navigate the events by date, type, format, and experience—that means virtual, in person, or hybrid.
  • Exhibitions – Exhibition at the Center for Architecture (Cairo Modern and Design Awards 2020-21) and at other institutions around the city.
  • Activities – Anytime Activities are DIY-style resources and self-led activities from Archtober partners that can be done at your leisure. Check out kid-friendly lessons, printables, videos, exhibition guides, and more.
  • Partners – Archtober Partners range from museums, libraries, and cultural institutions, to embassies, foundations, and more. Partners organize programming on diverse topics, from NYC history, contemporary architecture, and climate change, to representation across design professions.
