Kyoko Matsuoka

Kyoko Matsuoka graduated from Kyushu University in 1987, received a masters degree from Tokyo Metropolitan University in 1990, and in 1991 earned a masters degree from Columbia University. In 1992, Matsuoka established Spinglass Architects. She has worked on a variety of projects, including the Kitakyushu Airport Connection Bridge, community-based neighborhood revitalization, and various residential structures in Japan, as well as furniture design. She has taught and given lectures in Japan, the United Kingdom, France, and Taiwan. Since 2007, Matsuoka has been an associate professor at Tokyo Denki University.
