The new residential building in the Zieglergasse with an effective area space of 1.646 m² packed in 28 apartments on 8 floors is located in the heart of Vienna’s 7th district.
The demolition of the existing building goes hand in hand with a minimization of the plot area. In order to be able to use this 287 m² buildable area optimally, the architects used a clear system and tried to make the core of the residential building as compact and comfortable as possible, as well as to attach great importance to functional floor plans.
The apartment-mix of the new residential building has been given great importance to meet the zeitgeist and the needs of future users. Therefore, it was particularly important to create a standard floor, which allows well-cut B-type apartments.
The courtyard-side apartments have an outdoor area in form of loggias or terraces. On the street side, in line with the neighboring building, large windows have been used to give users the feeling of being in contact with the outside area.
In addition, the street and courtyard side accentuated ceiling bands act as an architectural design element. These elegantly designed ceiling bands are added by a modern, color-coordinated Argeton facade, which is attractive in its high quality for decades and eternally modern due to its simplicity. As a result the new residential building adapts perfectly to the attractive ensemble of the Zieglergasse.
